FAQs

What areas do you travel to?

I currently work between Birmingham and Calera areas. However, if you reside further or are unsure of the distance, let me know in an inquiry form. That way, we can still discuss what I can offer and what that may look like!

Can my baby be home during the massage?

Absolutely! Postpartum out-calls are designed for the mothers who are caring for a new baby and can't easily leave home or have someone care for their little ones!

What if my baby needs me during the massage?

A "pause policy" is offered for each massage and allows up to 20 minutes of time set aside in case baby may need you! If 20 minutes is exceeded, we may need to reschedule the appointment or resume if I have time on my schedule to do so that day. This 20-minute window is not used for extra massage time if not used for the purpose of taking care of your child.  There is also the option to use semi-reclining positions so that you may feed/hold your baby and receive massage simultaneously

What do I need to prepare for my session?

Nothing fancy! I will bring all the supplies needed for the massage. I just need a space to set up and perform the massage comfortably.  We will discuss your intake form and safety measures before the massage session takes place so that you can be ready to relax during your appointment time!

When is it a good time to receive postpartum massage?

A general rule of thumb is after a few weeks or simply when you are feeling well enough to receive body work. While massage can be beneficial to the healing process, doing it too soon can put stress on your body. Because it varies by person, it's best to discuss certain details of your birth and healing process with your massage therapist beforehand to curate a tailored plan!
